Delay in Disbursement of Vocational Training Grants Increases Students’ Suffering

Fes News

The newspaper “Fes News” received a complaint from a number of vocational training trainees expressing their dissatisfaction with the repeated delays in the disbursement of their grants, despite promises made by the responsible ministry through media platforms to resolve this issue. The trainees emphasized that this delay negatively affects their ability to continue their training and exposes them to significant financial pressures.

In the complaint, signed by several trainees, they stated: “We, the vocational training trainees, would like to draw your attention to the problem of the delay in disbursing the grants allocated to us, despite the promises made by the ministry earlier through media platforms, in which they assured that this issue would not recur starting from last year.”

The trainees added that the grant is a vital source for covering their daily expenses, especially given the nature of vocational training, which requires daily mandatory attendance, constant commuting to training centers or internship sites (workshops), as well as food, living, and rental expenses that pose a significant financial burden on most of them.

The trainees called for specific proposals to ensure that this problem does not recur in the coming years, including setting a fixed date for the disbursement of the grant, which would provide them with financial stability and facilitate their expense planning.

They stated in their complaint: “The delay in the grant exposes us to financial pressures that negatively affect our ability to continue training normally. Therefore, we urge you to speak on our behalf to address this issue and find urgent solutions.”

The trainees also expressed their readiness to participate in any dialogue or clarification with the relevant authorities, affirming their trust in the role of the press and responsible entities to address their issue seriously.

It is worth noting that the issue of delayed grant disbursement is not new, as it has been addressed on previous occasions. However, the trainees confirm that the problem persists, necessitating urgent intervention from the ministry and relevant authorities to ensure students’ rights and provide suitable conditions for them to complete their training without obstacles.

“Fes News” has reached out to the responsible authorities for clarification regarding this delay and will keep you updated on any new developments regarding this matter.
