During its February regular session, chaired by Mounir Chantir, the Taza Community Council approved the decision to transfer the weekly market from its current location on Bir Inzran Street (Oujda Road) to its new location on Regional Road No. 505, on the property with real estate number 21/434334.
This decision comes in response to residents’ demands aimed at reducing traffic pressure and facilitating traffic on Bir Inzran Street, which is witnessing increasing traffic jams due to the old location of the market.
New organizational decisions
In conjunction with the approval of the transformation of the market, the Council approved a set of organizational decisions related to the management of the new facility, most notably:
✔ The creation of the new weekly market on property 21/43434, along National Road 29 towards Al Hoceima.
✔ Canceling the previous decision No. 15 of October 18, 2021, related to the approval of the collective organization of the new weekly market.
✔ Approve the organizational decision on the management of the new weekly market.
✔ Approve the method of managing the new market in accordance with the approved organizational controls.
✔ Approve the contract book for the delegated management of the facility.
✔ Approve the contract book for the rental of the shops and cafes in the new market.
Closing the current market and preventing any commercial activity in it
Once the conversion process is activated, the old market will be permanently closed and no commercial, industrial or professional activity will be allowed. The exploitation of the new market will be regulated in accordance with the code of conduct and the approved regulatory decision.
This decision aims to improve the supply and marketing conditions and organize commercial activity in the city, contributing to the development of the local economic structure and ensuring that.
