Local activists in the city of Taza have called on the head of the community, Mounir Chantir, to take urgent measures to acquire and install surveillance cameras in the main streets and vital routes in the city.
These demands come within the framework of enhancing security and protecting citizens from potential risks, whether related to personal safety or protection of property, as some local actors complain about the spread of the phenomenon of theft on motorcycles and the excessive speed of these bikes, which poses a threat to the safety of citizens.
In this context, some believe that the installation of surveillance cameras will greatly contribute to the smooth organization of traffic, as well as enhance guarantees to reduce thefts and assaults that may occur in public places.
Local sources confirmed that the installation of these cameras will help improve the monitoring of residential neighborhoods and public places, and increase the effectiveness of security measures, especially in light of the evolution and complexity of crime methods.
In a related context, citizens believe that this step will help ensure traffic stability, thereby reducing accidents caused by the irresponsible behavior of some drivers.
