Taza Embarks on Major Urban Development Projects to Enhance Infrastructure

The city of Taza is currently witnessing significant progress in urban development, particularly along Youssef Ibn Tachfin Street and part of Al Hoceima Street. A vital project, spanning two kilometers, is underway, starting from the University Roundabout to Wadi Al-Makhazin School in Al-Quds 1 neighborhood, passing through the Technical High School Roundabout and Youssef Ibn Tachfin Street. These efforts reflect the Taza Municipality’s commitment to improving the city’s infrastructure and boosting its appeal.

The project includes the strengthening and expansion of the streets to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for citizens. Additionally, state-of-the-art LED public lighting will be installed, improving visibility while ensuring energy efficiency. One of the major enhancements involves widening the bridge adjacent to Al-Quds 1 Mosque, aimed at easing congestion and facilitating smoother mobility in this crucial area.

The project also covers rebuilding sidewalks and curbs to provide safer spaces for pedestrians. Furthermore, the area will benefit from new tree planting initiatives, contributing to the city’s green spaces and promoting sustainability. The two roundabouts within the project’s scope will be upgraded, and dedicated parking spaces will be added to meet the needs of residents and visitors.

From an organizational perspective, horizontal and vertical signage will be installed following modern standards to streamline traffic effectively. Urban furnishings that align with the city’s character will also be introduced, adding aesthetic value to the area.

These development efforts, supervised by the Taza Municipality, are part of a comprehensive plan to enhance the quality of life in the city and elevate the standard of urban services provided to its citizens.
