King Mohammed VI on Private Visit to the United Arab Emirates

King Mohammed VI of Morocco arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday for a private visit, reflecting the depth of fraternal and strong relations between the Kingdom and the federal state, according to concordant media sources.

These relations represent a remarkable model of Arab cooperation, based on a long history of mutual trust and common understanding, under the leadership of the Sovereign and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Moroccan-Emirati relations are experiencing significant development, culminating in the signing of a declaration entitled “Towards an Innovative, Renewed and Solid Partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United Arab Emirates” in Abu Dhabi on December 4, 2023. This agreement aims to expand bilateral relations and cooperation to new horizons by establishing effective economic partnerships that serve the highest common interests and promote the development and well-being of both brotherly peoples.

The United Arab Emirates, which remains the second largest foreign investor in Morocco after France, was the main destination country for net flows of Moroccan direct investments abroad (MDIE) in 2023, with 2.6 billion Moroccan dirhams, according to the Exchange Office.

This private visit underscores the strength of relations between the two countries and their commitment to enhancing mutual cooperation in various fields.
