Police forces in the city of Khemisset managed to arrest a 23-year-old man on Saturday afternoon, November 23, 2024, hours after he committed dangerous acts that sparked fear among citizens.
Khemisset police had received a report about a heavily intoxicated individual who was threatening and verbally abusing his neighbors before climbing electrical wires in a dangerous scene that was captured in a video widely circulated on social media platforms.
Upon receiving the report, national security forces immediately responded to the scene, where they successfully convinced the young man to abandon his dangerous behavior. Security investigations led to identifying the suspect and arresting him within a few hours of the incident.
A security source stated that the suspect has been placed under custody and is currently subject to a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to uncover all circumstances surrounding the case and determine the criminal acts attributed to him, which include public intoxication, threatening to commit a felony, and endangering citizens’ lives.
