As part of ongoing security efforts to combat illicit drug trafficking and psychoactive substances, the Judicial Police in Khemisset, in coordination with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), successfully arrested four individuals, including a 17-year-old minor, in the early hours of Tuesday, February 11, on suspicion of involvement in drug possession and distribution.
The security operation was carried out in the rural area of Ait Kannon, on the outskirts of Khemisset. Search operations led to the seizure of 4,500 narcotic pills, along with sums of money in both national and foreign currencies, suspected to be proceeds from illegal activities. Additionally, two cars and a motorcycle believed to have been used in drug distribution were also confiscated.
The adult suspects have been placed under judicial custody, while the minor is under supervised detention, as part of an ongoing judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution. The investigation aims to uncover all circumstances surrounding the case and to identify other potential accomplices involved in the criminal network.
This operation falls within the continuous security efforts to enhance public safety and combat drug trafficking, a crime that poses a serious threat to public health and social stability.
