Local sources revealed that a person claiming to oppose the Morocran authorities had been moving between social media platforms, especially TikTok, to defame the image of the Kingdom and insult the government and the political system.
When attempting to infiltrate the Moroccan community in Belgium during the Green March celebrations, this person was arrested by the Belgian police, where he claimed to be “Algerian” and not Moroccan as he had been propagating.
The sources revealed that this Algerian extremist had been spreading hate content against Morocco and its institutions on social media platforms, in an attempt to tarnish the reputation of the Kingdom and stir up sedition among Moroccans living abroad.
The sources confirmed that the Moroccan authorities are closely monitoring these criminal practices targeting the Kingdom, and are working to track down and dismantle all the networks involved in these suspicious activities.
This incident once again confirms the need to enhance coordination between Morocco and its brotherly and friendly countries to confront these methods aimed at undermining Morocco’s reputation and territorial unity.
