The achievements of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency in the Holy City exceed $13.8 million between the two sessions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit (2019-2024)

A report by the Al-Quds Committee, affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and headed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, indicated that the assessment of the achievements of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, the executive arm of the Committee, in the Holy City exceeds $13.8 million between the two summit sessions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (2019-2024). ).

The report, which was distributed to participants in the 15th Islamic Summit Conference held in Banjul (May 4-5, Gambia), highlights that the agency continues, under the personal supervision of His Majesty the King, to carry out its duties to improve living conditions. For the residents of Jerusalem, through economic, social, educational, cultural and housing projects that aim to provide a direct response to the needs of Jerusalemites.

The document indicates that these projects contributed significantly to improving the conditions of the residents of Jerusalem, supporting their resistance, preserving the cultural identity of the Holy City, promoting peaceful coexistence and brotherhood between followers of the three monotheistic religions, and promoting dialogue within the framework of mutual respect and acceptance of difference.

The report highlighted “the Kingdom of Morocco’s continued support for the Palestinian cause and its permanent solidarity with the Palestinian people,” and the latest example of this is the large-scale humanitarian operation ordered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, Chairman of the Jerusalem Committee, for the benefit of the Palestinians in Jerusalem and Gaza during the month of Ramadan.

In addition to emergency humanitarian interventions, the report highlights the diversity of the agency’s work on the ground, through programs and projects aimed at providing social support to Jerusalemites and ensuring a decent life for them, in addition to caring for Jerusalemite orphans, granting school scholarships, as well as organizing activities focused on youth and sports. Children, women, and people with special needs, protecting heritage and authentic Palestinian arts, promoting the unified cultural identity of Jerusalem, and supporting studies and research on Holy Jerusalem.

The report also indicates the agency’s diverse achievements in supporting the sectors of education, health, construction, rehabilitation, housing, protection of historical buildings, and social assistance, as well as the emergency aid program in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, freedom of the media and the press, and the annual “Aouna” olive harvest campaign.

The document also refers to the agency’s work methodology based on the pioneering program system, as evidenced by the Center for Research and Studies “Bayt al-Maqdis,” the “Areibat” Observatory for Monitoring, Monitoring and Evaluation in Jerusalem, the Platform for Social and Humanitarian Development, Solidarity Trade “Dlala”, the Jerusalem Children’s Club, and initiatives.
