VIDEO. CAN Futsal: Morocco crushes Zambia (13-0)

The national futsal team qualified for the semi-finals of the African Futsal Cup of Nations (CAN) (Morocco-2024) by outclassing its Zambian counterpart with a score of 13 goals to 0, Monday at the gym from the Palais des Sports of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, on behalf of the 3rd day of group A of this competition which runs until April 21 in Morocco.

Bilal Bakkali, Soufian Charraoui, Anas El Ayyane, authors each of a double, Soufiane El Mesrar, Ismail Amazal, Idriss El Fenni, Othmane Elidrissi, Anas Dahani, Youssef Jouad and Jackson Siwmawami (c.s.c), scored the goals for the Moroccan team.

The Atlas Lions started the match strongly by scoring two goals after four minutes of play, despite the defensive block formed by the Zambian players, who were cautious at the start of the match.

Hicham Dguig’s men put in a good performance in the first period with eight goals scored.

In a one-sided match, the Atlas Lions played their game superbly to win their last match in the group stage with art and style.

With this victory, the Moroccan team occupies first place in Group A with nine points collected in three victories against Angola, Ghana and Zambia.

The eight teams qualified for this edition were placed in two groups. Group A includes double title holders Morocco, Angola, Ghana and Zambia, while Group B is made up of Egypt, Libya, Namibia and Mauritania.

The first three teams in this African competition will qualify for the FIFA Futsal World Cup which will be held from September 14 to October 6 in Uzbekistan.

The competitions of this high mass of continental futsal are contested at the Ibn Yassine hall and at the Palais des Sports of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
