Road and bridge infrastructure upgrading along National Road 15 and mountain tourism projects in Boulemane Province

FES NEWS MEDIA – PROVINCE OF BOULEMANE: The Province of Boulemane is experiencing a new investment and developmental momentum aimed at valorizing the natural and ecological potential of its mountain and oasis territories, as public tenders were launched in partnership with the Fez-Meknes Regional Investment Center (CRI) and provincial authorities for the development and construction of integrated mountain and eco-tourism projects in the communes of Injil and Al Arjane.

These structural projects seek to establish sustainable tourist attraction hubs across the Province of Boulemane by developing eco-lodges, visitor reception and recreational spaces, and circuits showcasing local terroir products and traditional crafts, directly contributing to permanent and seasonal job creation for local youth and cooperatives while diversifying the economy across the centers of Boulemane, Imouzzer Marmoucha, Missour, and Outat El Haj.

Modernizing National Road No. 15 and Enhancing Connectivity to the Bouiblane Mountain Range

Parallel to promoting tourism investment, major road infrastructure and engineering works are advancing across the Province of Boulemane, led by the project to widen, strengthen, and modernize segments of National Road No. 15 linking the cities of Missour and Outat El Haj, alongside upgrading mountain road axes leading to the Bouiblane mountain range and securing them against landslide and snow risks.

Economic actors and elected representatives within the Boulemane Provincial Council emphasize that completing this structural road network and strengthening transport connectivity with the rest of the Fez-Meknes Region constitute the primary lever for attracting private investors in modern agriculture, renewable energy, mining, and rural tourism while facilitating rural residents’ access to healthcare, educational, and administrative services.
