D’après ces mêmes sources, le relogement des commerçants a été supervisé par les autorités locales de l’annexe administrative de l’Atlas, dans le cadre des mesures d’accompagnement du projet, afin d’assurer la continuité de l’activité commerciale pendant toute la durée des travaux.
Les engins de chantier ont commencé les opérations de démolition dès la libération complète des lieux, marquant le début d’une nouvelle étape destinée à reconstruire le marché selon des normes architecturales modernes, tout en préservant l’identité urbaine de l’avenue Mohammed V, l’un des principaux axes de la ville de Fès.
