The Oulad Ahmo area in the Oulad Tayeb commune, part of the Fez province, is experiencing a wave of discontent among residents following a disruption in the drinking water supply that began Sunday morning without prior notice. According to the same sources, this outage comes amid recurring disruptions in the region’s water services, where residents suffer from low water pressure, particularly on the upper floors of homes, creating daily difficulties related to basic needs and fueling growing discontent among citizens.
The situation is not limited, according to local officials, to the water issue alone, but extends to include other disruptions in a number of vital services, including the previous power outage that affected various neighborhoods, leaving them in total darkness for hours, as well as the condition of roads described as poorly maintained, and the difficulties this poses in terms of mobility and safety.

In the same vein, local activists express their dissatisfaction with what they consider a lack of interventions capable of addressing these imbalances, calling for improved quality and guaranteed continuity of basic services, particularly in light of the urban expansion currently taking place in the Oulad Tayeb commune.
