On the occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday for the year 1447 AH / 2025 AD, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and support him, granted his royal pardon to a group of individuals sentenced by various courts across the Kingdom, totaling 681 persons, including both detainees and those in freedom.
According to an official statement from the Ministry of Justice, the beneficiaries of the royal pardon who are currently detained number 488 inmates. The pardon included either a reduction of sentences or a full exemption from the remaining sentence, with 12 inmates receiving a full pardon and 476 others benefiting from sentence reductions.
As for those beneficiaries who are free, their number reached 193 individuals, distributed among those who received full or partial pardons from prison sentences in addition to pardons from fines. Specifically, 65 persons were pardoned from prison sentences, 9 persons were pardoned from the prison sentence while fines were upheld, 103 persons were pardoned from fines, and 16 persons were pardoned from both imprisonment and fines.
This royal pardon reaffirms His Majesty’s merciful nature and his care for the affairs of the nation and its citizens, praying to God to grant His Majesty continued advancement, victory, and empowerment, and to grant joy to his eyes through His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan and all members of the noble Royal Family.
