Sefrou – Follow-up
A community activist in the city of Sefrou has sounded the alarm over what he described as the “alarming spread” of two scourges threatening to destroy the social fabric of the city: illegal gambling dens and the deadly drug “Bouffa,” which is increasingly infiltrating the ranks of youth and teenagers.
In an exclusive statement, the activist, who preferred to remain anonymous for fear of repercussions, confirmed that several neighborhoods in the city have become hotbeds for illegal gambling dens that attract unemployed youth and others dreaming of quick profits, only to end up drowning in debt and serious social problems.
The speaker added that the greater danger lies in the suspicious infiltration of the drug “Bouffa,” known as the “poor man’s cocaine,” into the city. He said with deep sorrow: “We see young people in the prime of their lives turning into walking skeletons, losing their minds and futures because of this deadly drug. It is no longer a secret, and everyone talks about how easily it can be obtained at cheap prices.”
The community activist issued an urgent and direct appeal to local and security authorities in Sefrou, calling for immediate and decisive action. He urged the launch of intensive security campaigns and raids on suspicious dens that promote these poisons, as well as increasing patrols around educational institutions and places where youth gather.
He also emphasized the necessity of adopting a comprehensive approach that goes beyond security measures alone, including wide-ranging awareness and sensitization campaigns about the dangers of addiction and gambling, to save what can be saved before the youth of the spiritual capital of the cherry tree become victims of these destructive scourges.
