A horrific crime has shaken the Al Oulfa neighborhood in Casablanca after a taxi driver allegedly murdered a young woman and attempted to dispose of her body in a chilling manner. The brutal act occurred early Sunday morning inside the suspect’s apartment.
According to local daily Assabah, the suspect lived alone with his underage son following a divorce, often using his apartment to bring women he encountered casually. On the night of the crime, he reportedly met the victim by chance and invited her to his residence. An intense argument broke out—allegedly under the influence of alcohol—leading to a fatal stabbing to the victim’s abdomen.
In an apparent attempt to cover up the crime, the suspect cleaned the blood and tightly wrapped the victim’s body in a blanket. He then approached a nearby café worker, asking for help to “move furniture.” The café employee, upon lifting the suspiciously heavy blanket, grew alarmed and immediately fled to alert the authorities.
Realizing the exposure of his crime, the taxi driver abandoned the body and fled the scene. Police and forensic teams quickly arrived to secure the apartment and collect evidence. Investigators have taken statements from the suspect’s son and the witness who alerted authorities. A nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for the fugitive suspect.
