In a clarifying statement received by Fes News, both Shams Eddine Barada and Wael Barada expressed their astonishment at what they described as “false allegations” targeting their brother, Badr Barada. They emphasized that the circulating claims do not reflect the reality of their experiences with him over the years, both on a familial and humanitarian level.
The statement mentioned that their brother, Badr, “took on significant family responsibilities following the death of Shams, Fahd, and Badr Barada’s mother, may she rest in peace, and during their father’s temporary absence from fulfilling his duties towards his minor children.” It was noted that Badr independently, and without any legal obligation, fully covered their educational and living expenses, providing them with support and guidance until they obtained higher degrees.
The statement clarified that their relationship with Badr was never based on personal interest or circumstances but was one of brotherhood and mutual respect. They considered the recent media attacks as “unjustified harm to someone who has given a lot in silence and responsibility.”
Regarding the disputed property, they confirmed that their late father had expressed, during his lifetime, his desire to transfer it to Badr Barada “in appreciation of his positions and sacrifices, and to save the property from a public auction it was threatened with due to financial obligations.”
Shams Eddine and Wael emphasized their refusal to involve their names or their brother’s in “any malicious interpretations or fabricated statements,” asserting their right to take all necessary legal actions when needed.
The statement concluded by affirming that the purpose of this clarification was not to engage in disputes but to “set the record straight, defend the truth, and preserve what remains of family bonds.”
