Today, Tuesday, the capital Rabat witnessed the official handover ceremony between Mr. Mohamed Benalilou and Mr. Hassan Tariq, who was appointed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, as the Kingdom’s Mediator. The ceremony was attended by a number of officials and staff members of the institution.
In his speech on the occasion of the handover, Mr. Hassan Tariq expressed his deep pride in the high trust bestowed upon him by His Majesty the King. He considered this royal appointment to be part of the effort to strengthen the role of independent constitutional institutions by providing them with new dynamism that contributes to the development of institutional work in the Kingdom.
Mr. Hassan Tariq praised the role of all those who contributed to building institutional mediation in Morocco, noting that the Moroccan mediation experience represents a blend of the country’s rich heritage and modern international standards. He mentioned the names of governors who left their mark on the development of institutional mediation, such as Professor Moulay Slimane Al-Alawi, Moulay Mohammed Al-Iraqi, and Captain Abdel Aziz Ben Zakour.
He also emphasized that Morocco’s experience in this field encapsulates an important part of the country’s history and the evolution of its institutions. He pointed out that this institution is one of the manifestations of the institutional building process that reflects the values of citizenship and administrative democratization.
In conclusion, Mr. Hassan Tariq pledged to work diligently and continuously to implement the royal vision, reaffirming his commitment to further strengthening the role of institutional mediation in the Kingdom.
For his part, Mr. Mohamed Benalilou congratulated Mr. Hassan Tariq on the royal trust he had received, wishing him success in his new duties. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the staff members of the institution, praising their competence and the efforts they made during his previous term, wishing them success in achieving even more accomplishments in the future.
