Title: Unexpected Resignation Shakes PAM in Meknes: Councillor Abdellah Djalali Withdraws from Political Work

In a surprising move, municipal councillor Abdellah Djalali announced his resignation from all structures of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) and from his membership in the Meknes Municipal Council, dealing a significant blow to the party locally, especially as he was one of the most prominent opposition figures within the council.

Regarding the reasons for his decision, Djalali stated in a press release that his health conditions no longer allow him to continue his political work, either within PAM or in managing municipal affairs in Meknes. He pointed out that the general situation within the municipal council has become discouraging for continued involvement, despite his respect for President Abbas Lomaari.

On the other hand, the regional secretary of PAM in Meknes, Zakaria Ben Ounnas, expressed regret over this resignation, describing Djalali as “one of the pillars of the party” and his departure as a “significant loss that will be hard to compensate.” He wished Djalali success and good health.

The resigning councillor is known for being one of the most critical members of the council regarding the management of local affairs, having contributed to uncovering several irregularities during the current term. His withdrawal comes at a time when the party is facing significant political challenges in Meknes, raising questions about the future of the opposition team and the impact of this decision on the balance within the municipal council.
