Fawzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, has been awarded the International Alliance of Civilizations Prize during the Euro-Mediterranean University Forum on the Alliance of Civilizations held in Fez. This recognition comes in appreciation of his prominent role in promoting values of solidarity and dialogue among diverse cultures and civilizations.
The Alliance of Civilizations praised Lekjaa’s character, who was born in a town in eastern Morocco near the Mediterranean Sea, describing him as a man who loves facing challenges regardless of their difficulty. The Alliance also commended the unprecedented achievements of Moroccan football under his leadership and with the guidance of King Mohammed VI.
The Alliance highlighted Lekjaa’s significant role in establishing values of solidarity, sacrifice, and selfless work, noting that he is a person who embodies humility and stays away from selfishness and narcissism. The Alliance emphasized that Lekjaa has greatly contributed to enhancing dialogue, openness, and strengthening ties between various civilizations.
The organization pointed out that Lekjaa’s participation in international sports organizations has effectively contributed to consolidating relations between the peoples of Africa and the Mediterranean region. This honor is considered an international recognition of Lekjaa’s efforts in the field of sports and its role in promoting understanding and cooperation between different cultures.
