As part of the preparations for the fourth edition of the Fes-Meknes Regional Economic Forum, organized under the theme “Economic Dynamics Towards 2030,” the Fes Economic Forum Foundation held a press conference on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the headquarters of the Fes Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services. The event was attended by several prominent figures from the economic and media sectors.
During the press conference, Mohamed Chehiba, Regional Director of the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC) for the Fes-Meknes region, shared key details about the “Employment Day” to be held alongside the forum. Chehiba explained that the goal of organizing this day is to facilitate communication between job seekers and local companies, offering participants the opportunity to meet with representatives of major companies in the region across sectors such as healthcare, transport, services, agriculture, and the automotive industry, among others.
Chehiba highlighted that “Employment Day” would provide job opportunities with 15 companies from various areas of the region, including Fes, Meknes, Sefrou, and Moulay Yacoub, offering participants the chance to apply for numerous available positions. The target is to register 1,200 job seekers for the event, with hopes of reaching 2,000 by the end of the week.
In addition to job opportunities, Chehiba noted that the agency would also offer parallel awareness campaigns throughout the day, providing specialized advice on areas such as resume preparation, interview techniques, and job search strategies, with expert guidance available to attendees. “We aim to offer all job seekers the best networking opportunities, allowing them to submit their applications directly in one place within just a few hours,” Chehiba added.
The Regional Director of ANAPEC emphasized that the slogan “The Future Starts Today” reflects the region’s commitment to creating tangible job opportunities for citizens. This initiative is part of a strategic partnership with the Fes Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services, aimed at supporting the local economy through direct employment opportunities.
