Fes Launches the Grand Fes Theater Project to Enhance Cultural Infrastructure

The cultural scene in Fes is witnessing notable progress with the launch of the Grand Fes Theater project, one of the most prominent developmental initiatives aimed at enhancing the city’s cultural infrastructure. The project spans an area of 1.6 hectares, with a budget exceeding 400 million dirhams, and is expected to be completed within 15 months, making it a significant addition to the region’s cultural and recreational facilities.

Located in a strategic area along the National Road to Meknes, near the Marjane Ouad Fes area, the theater is easily accessible to both residents and visitors. The project features a modern design with a seating capacity of 1,010, along with a parking lot for 786 vehicles, reflecting the commitment to providing a comprehensive environment to serve the public and meet the needs of cultural and artistic activities.

This project is being carried out through a fruitful partnership between the Ministry of Culture, the Fes-Meknes Region, and the Fes Prefecture. It is part of an ambitious vision aimed at creating a cultural hub that will enhance Fes’s status as one of the kingdom’s leading cultural centers. The Grand Fes Theater is expected to host major cultural and artistic events and provide a platform for creatives and artists to express their talents and enrich the local cultural scene.

The Grand Fes Theater embodies the vision to establish Fes as a city that combines its rich cultural heritage with future aspirations, promoting balanced and sustainable development while meeting the expectations of both residents and visitors.
