In a successful security operation, the Anti-Gang Unit of the Fes Security Directorate arrested an individual on Wednesday morning, November 20, 2024, suspected of being involved in the trafficking of drugs and psychoactive substances. The arrest was made following close coordination with the General Directorate for National Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
The suspect, who was traveling on a bus from one of the northern cities of Morocco, was apprehended at a traffic control checkpoint on the outskirts of Fes. During the search, authorities discovered 1,760 ecstasy pills, as well as a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from illegal trafficking activities.
Initial investigations, led by the competent public prosecutor, aim to uncover the potential extent of this criminal network and identify other individuals involved.
