A health official told Fes News that the dismantling of the “Khalii” corruption network by the General Directorate for National Security (DST) is an important step, but stressed that local and judicial authorities must fully take responsibility for the health and safety of citizens.
The official emphasized that “the continued presence of such spoiled products in the market poses a direct threat to the lives of Fes residents and surrounding areas, and the strictest legal and administrative measures must be implemented to protect citizens from food poisoning and serious health complications that may arise from consuming these products.”
He called for intensified market and commercial inspections and for the withdrawal of any products with questionable quality, while ensuring strict accountability for those involved in such criminal activities. He added, “Protecting the lives of the population is a collective responsibility, and this issue must be addressed with utmost firmness and seriousness.”
