From November 12 to 14, 2024, Riyadh hosted Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, who attended the 50th session of the High Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.
Hammouchi presented a new strategic vision for security training and attended the graduation ceremony of the university’s 42nd postgraduate class.
Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, the scientific body of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, is the only academic institution of its kind in the region, offering advanced training and technical education in security fields. Hammouchi’s participation is as a council member, under the chairmanship and sponsorship of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Interior.
During the session, the council reviewed the results of the university’s 2019-2023 strategic plan, discussing its contributions in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybercrime, and crisis management.
Hammouchi proposed a five-year framework for enhancing police training programs, focusing on academic excellence, fostering innovation, and expanding scientific disciplines to address emerging security challenges and meet society’s evolving expectations of the security sector.
Hammouchi also attended the graduation ceremony of the 42nd cohort of postgraduate students from across the Arab world, where he participated in honoring the graduates and awarding certificates. Alongside the Saudi Minister of Interior and fellow High Council members, the celebration underscored the depth of Arab security cooperation and the unity of training and development efforts.
