The “Info El Menzel” Facebook page reported good news for the residents of Qasba villages in the Mternagha area of Sefrou Province. The page shared a post from Mr. Mohamed Zaghmour, a councilor in the Mternagha commune, announcing an improvement in the area’s water supply situation.
Councilor Zaghmour stated, “In communication with the Regional Directorate of Drinking Water, a high-quality meter will be acquired soon, and the reservoir will be supplied with 100 cubic meters of water daily in the near future, God willing.” He added his thanks for the cooperation of the residents and the responsiveness of the local authorities to this step.
The page indicated that this development comes as a continuation of a project that began in 2021 when the connection route and reservoir location were determined. In 2022, construction of the reservoir commenced, indicating tangible progress in the project to improve water supply in the area.
This step is expected to alleviate the suffering of Qasba villages’ residents from the scarcity of drinking water, especially during the summer season, which usually puts pressure on water resources.
It is worth noting that projects to improve water infrastructure are vital for the development of rural areas and improving the quality of life of their inhabitants. This initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to meet the basic needs of citizens and promote sustainable development in various regions of the Kingdom of Morocco.
