According to Dr. Mouha Aki, the delegate of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Sidi Kacem Province, a traffic accident occurred on Monday, October 14, 2024, on National Road No. 13, near the rural community of Selaft.
The incident was caused by a school bus slipping due to heavy rainfall.
Dr. Aki confirmed that the bus was carrying 24 students, stating that all passengers are in stable condition, except for four children who are suffering from fractures.
They are currently under medical supervision at the regional hospital in Sidi Kacem.
He added that the ages of the students range from 12 to 18 years, as they are enrolled in both middle and high school.
