The bus accident that occurred in the Jnane El Ward district of Fes left 54 people injured, with varying degrees of severity, after the bus veered off course and descended into a slope.
The injured were transported to Al Ghassani Hospital for treatment, where they remain under medical observation and have undergone X-ray scans.
Additionally, five individuals were transferred to Hassan II University Hospital for further care.
The hospital director, in a statement issued by the Fes Health Delegation, confirmed that eight patients are still hospitalized—three under medical observation and five awaiting further tests, with a potential discharge on the morning of Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
The cause of the bus’s deviation and descent remains unknown, pending the outcome of an ongoing judicial investigation.
