Morocco participated in the 14th edition of InnoTrans 2024, the world’s largest exhibition dedicated to rail transport and mobility, held in Berlin from September 24 to 27. The exhibition highlighted Morocco’s ambitions in the train manufacturing sector through the presentation of the Morocco TraIndustry (MTI) cluster.
The attached image shows a model of a modern train in the manufacturing stage, indicating the progress Morocco has made in this field. The train features distinctive colors combining green and yellow and is located in an advanced industrial facility.
The MTI cluster, born from the desire to develop a national railway industry, aims to achieve the ambitious goal of producing “Made in Morocco” trains. This initiative reflects Morocco’s strategy to enhance its industrial capabilities in the transport sector, create new job opportunities, and promote technological innovation in the country.
This showcase comes as part of Morocco’s efforts to diversify its economy and strengthen its position as a regional industrial hub. The development of the local train manufacturing industry is expected to contribute to improving Morocco’s transport infrastructure and open new horizons for export to regional and global markets.
Morocco’s participation in InnoTrans 2024 is considered an important opportunity to showcase its capabilities and attract foreign investments in this promising sector, which may contribute to driving economic and technological development in the country.
