In the early hours of Wednesday, August 28, a police officer from the Anti-Gang Unit in El Jadida was forced to use his service weapon to stop a suspect who was in a highly aggressive state, endangering the lives of citizens and police officers by threatening them with a dangerous dog.
According to initial information, the Anti-Gang Unit intervened in a residential area following an emergency call from citizens. The suspect, along with his intoxicated father and several accomplices, had caused chaos and damaged three private cars parked in the area.
The situation escalated, leading the officer to use his service weapon and injure the main suspect, who had violently resisted and threatened the safety of both citizens and police officers.
During the intervention, one police officer was injured after being struck by stones and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the main suspect and his father were placed under medical supervision at the hospital and are currently under judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
The investigation aims to uncover all the circumstances surrounding this case and to apprehend the other suspects involved in these criminal acts.
