The police in Mshra Bel Ksiri have referred two brothers, aged 20 and 17, to the competent Public Prosecutor on Tuesday, August 27th, on charges of assaulting and insulting a public employee during the performance of his duties, as well as public intoxication.
The police were notified of the suspects’ assault on and insulting of a healthcare worker inside one of the hospitals in Mshra Bel Ksiri. The incident was documented in a video that circulated on social media.
The police intervened promptly and arrested the suspects shortly after the crime was committed.
The older brother was placed under custody, while the younger one was placed under supervision, as part of the investigation overseen by the Public Prosecutor. Both were referred to justice on Tuesday.
