During a joint press conference with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Norway, Borrell said that ‘the time has come to recognise the Palestinian state,’ declaring that the international community agrees on the importance of this step at this critical time. The EU is the Kingdom’s second largest trading partner, accounting for 14.8 per cent of total trade, with vehicles, equipment, petroleum and petrochemicals being the main components of trade.
