A reliable source revealed that Nahdet Berkane decided to seek the assistance of a lawyer from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation in the event of any problem. This is to ensure they can defend their rights to secure a place in the CAF Cup final and knock USM Alger out of the competition. This decision comes after the authorities at Houari Boumediene Airport confiscated the shirts of the Eastern Province representative upon his arrival in Algiers last Friday.
The Disciplinary Committee of the Confederation of African Football will meet on Wednesday in Cairo, Egypt, to determine the penalties that will be imposed on the Algerian Federation.
This comes after their match against RS Berkane, which was scheduled to be held last Sunday in the semi-finals of the African Confederation Cup, was cancelled.
