Morocco – Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) officially inaugurated the new headquarters of the Third Police District in Laâyoune on Wednesday, as part of the celebrations marking the 27th anniversary of Throne Day. The initiative forms part of the DGSN’s strategy to modernize police infrastructure and improve the quality of public services.

The opening of the new police facility is in line with the DGSN’s annual action plans aimed at upgrading and modernizing police premises, improving working conditions for officers, and enhancing community-oriented policing services for citizens.

Located in the Al Taâwoun neighborhood of Laâyoune, the new building covers a total area of 190 square meters. It includes reception and information areas, administrative offices, and facilities equipped in accordance with modern safety and security standards, while also ensuring accessibility for all categories of citizens.

The new headquarters has also been connected to the National Police’s operational communication systems, security databases, and digital information platforms, enabling it to provide administrative and judicial police services under optimal conditions, particularly the processing of administrative documents and cases falling within the district’s territorial jurisdiction.

The DGSN emphasized that the project is part of an ongoing nationwide program to modernize police facilities by providing contemporary workspaces that improve officers’ working environment while enhancing the quality of reception and accelerating the processing of citizens’ requests.
