Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI a offert, ce jeudi à Rabat, un déjeuner officiel en l’honneur du Premier ministre français Sébastien Lecornu et de la délégation officielle qui l’accompagne. Le repas a été présidé par le Chef du gouvernement marocain Aziz Akhannouch, dans le cadre de la visite officielle du responsable français au Royaume, organisée à l’occasion de la 15ᵉ Réunion de Haut Niveau Maroc–France.
Le déjeuner a réuni plusieurs hauts responsables français, notamment Laurent Nunez, ministre français de l’Intérieur, Jean-Noël Barrot, ministre de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères, ainsi que les membres de la délégation officielle accompagnant le Premier ministre français.
Du côté marocain, étaient également présents le président de la Chambre des représentants Rachid Talbi Alami, les conseillers de Sa Majesté Omar Azziman et Omar Kabbaj, le ministre de l’Intérieur Abdelouafi Laftit, ainsi que le ministre des Affaires étrangères, de la Coopération africaine et des Marocains résidant à l’étranger Nasser Bourita.
Ce déjeuner officiel a été organisé à l’issue des travaux de la 15ᵉ Réunion de Haut Niveau entre le Maroc et la France, coprésidée par Aziz Akhannouch et Sébastien Lecornu, dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre du Partenariat d’Exception Renforcé liant le Royaume du Maroc et la République française sous l’impulsion de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI et du président français Emmanuel Macron.
Cette réunion a constitué une nouvelle étape dans le développement des relations bilatérales. Les deux parties y ont examiné les moyens de renforcer leur coopération dans de nombreux domaines avant de conclure plusieurs accords de partenariat couvrant des secteurs stratégiques destinés à approfondir les relations économiques, de développement, culturelles et institutionnelles entre Rabat et Paris.
Ces avancées s’inscrivent dans la dynamique engagée depuis la visite d’État du président Emmanuel Macron au Maroc en octobre 2024, qui a ouvert une nouvelle phase de coopération bilatérale fondée sur un partenariat stratégique élargi englobant l’investissement, les infrastructures, l’énergie, la sécurité, la culture, l’éducation ainsi qu’une coordination renforcée sur les questions régionales et internationales d’intérêt commun.
Selon plusieurs observateurs, le déjeuner officiel offert par Sa Majesté le Roi en l’honneur du Premier ministre français et de sa délégation illustre la solidité des relations historiques entre les deux pays et confirme leur volonté commune de poursuivre le développement du partenariat maroco-français au service de leurs intérêts communs.
King Mohammed VI Hosts Official Luncheon in Honor of the French Prime Minister and His Delegation in Rabat

King Mohammed VI hosted an official luncheon on Thursday in Rabat in honor of French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu and the accompanying official delegation. The luncheon was chaired by Moroccan Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch as part of the French Prime Minister’s official visit to Morocco, held on the occasion of the 15th Morocco–France High-Level Meeting.
The luncheon brought together several senior French officials, including Laurent Nunez, France’s Minister of the Interior, Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, as well as members of the official delegation accompanying the French Prime Minister.
Representing Morocco were Rachid Talbi Alami, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Royal Advisors Omar Azziman and Omar Kabbaj, Minister of the Interior Abdelouafi Laftit, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita.
The official luncheon followed the conclusion of the 15th Morocco–France High-Level Meeting, jointly chaired by Aziz Akhannouch and Sébastien Lecornu, as part of implementing the Enhanced Exceptional Partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and French President Emmanuel Macron.
The meeting marked another milestone in bilateral relations, during which both sides reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors before signing several partnership agreements covering strategic fields aimed at expanding economic, development, cultural, and institutional cooperation between Rabat and Paris.
These developments come within the broader momentum that has characterized Moroccan-French relations since President Emmanuel Macron’s state visit to Morocco in October 2024, which launched a new phase of bilateral cooperation based on an expanded strategic partnership encompassing investment, infrastructure, energy, security, culture, education, and enhanced coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Observers believe that the official luncheon hosted by King Mohammed VI in honor of the French Prime Minister and his delegation reflects the strength of the historic ties between the two countries and underscores their shared commitment to further developing the Moroccan-French partnership in a way that serves their common interests and deepens cooperation across various sectors.
