April 29, 2026 – El Hajeb
El Hajeb – The Municipal Council of El Hajeb is preparing to hold its ordinary session for May 2026 on Wednesday, May 6, at the meeting hall of the territorial commune headquarters, amid anticipation surrounding several issues related to financial management, urban planning, and infrastructure development in the city.
According to the agenda reviewed by Fes News, council members will discuss the allocation of the 2025 budget surplus, in addition to reviewing and approving the amended 2026 budget, in financial matters expected to generate debate within the municipal council.
The agenda also includes a proposal to approve works related to the installation of electrical cables over a plot of state-owned land, aimed at connecting the El Hajeb road center to the electricity network.
Among the most significant files to be examined is a project concerning the planning of public road boundaries linked to expropriation procedures, as part of the expansion project for National Road No. 3, in accordance with the 2014 urban development plan for El Hajeb. The issue is directly connected to urban development and expansion works in the city.
The council is also expected to review the specifications booklet governing the temporary occupation of municipal public property related to the operation of car and motorcycle parking facilities within the commune.
This session comes amid growing local debate over urban planning issues and the improvement of infrastructure and municipal services in El Hajeb, especially as the urban area continues to expand and residents’ demands for local development increase.
The meeting is expected to attract attention from local stakeholders and observers interested in municipal affairs, given the nature of the topics under discussion and their direct impact on urban planning projects and local governance in the province.
