Le bureau exécutif de Union des journalistes sportifs marocains a exprimé sa vive indignation face aux décisions rendues par la Confédération africaine de football concernant la finale de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations 2025, estimant qu’elles ont suscité une large controverse en raison de leur contradiction avec les éléments factuels et documentés relatifs au déroulement du match.
The executive bureau of the Moroccan Union of Sports Journalists voiced strong condemnation of the decisions issued by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) regarding the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, considering that they sparked widespread controversy due to their contradiction with documented and widely circulated facts surrounding the match.

Dans un communiqué publié le 29 janvier 2026 à Rabat, l’Union a précisé que les sanctions disciplinaires adoptées manquaient, selon son analyse, de fondement juridique convaincant, tout en ignorant des incidents clairement établis par des enregistrements audio et vidéo, ce qui soulève des interrogations sur la logique ayant présidé au traitement disciplinaire de ce dossier.

Le communiqué souligne que le rejet de l’appel introduit par la Fédération royale marocaine de football, coupled with the tightening of sanctions against the Moroccan side, raises serious concerns regarding the principle of equal treatment, noting that holding one party solely responsible for a tense atmosphere inside and outside the stadium undermines the image of continental competition and weakens confidence in refereeing and disciplinary mechanisms.
Le communiqué relève que le rejet du recours introduit par la Fédération royale marocaine de football, conjugué au durcissement des sanctions à l’encontre de la partie marocaine, soulève de sérieuses interrogations quant au respect du principe d’égalité de traitement, estimant que faire porter à une seule partie la responsabilité d’un climat tendu sur et en dehors du terrain nuit à l’image de la compétition continentale et fragilise la confiance dans les mécanismes d’arbitrage et de discipline.

L’Union a également réaffirmé son soutien total à l’orientation de la Fédération royale marocaine de football en faveur d’un recours aux juridictions sportives internationales, considérant cette voie comme le cadre institutionnel approprié pour établir la vérité, défendre les droits concernés, et préserver the dignity of national football within the continental system.
