Dans le cadre de la consolidation de la justice territoriale et du renforcement des services de proximité, le gouverneur de la préfecture de Meknès a présidé, mercredi matin 28 janvier 2026 au siège de la préfecture, la cérémonie de remise des clés d’ambulances et de véhicules de transport funéraire au profit de plusieurs collectivités territoriales, dans le cadre d’un programme visant à améliorer l’offre sanitaire et sociale en milieu rural et périurbain.
As part of efforts to consolidate territorial equity and strengthen proximity services, the Governor of the Meknes Prefecture presided on Wednesday morning, January 28, 2026, at the prefecture headquarters, over a ceremony handing over ambulances and funeral transport vehicles to several territorial communities, within a program aimed at improving health and social services in rural and semi-urban areas.

Ce programme prévoit l’acquisition de trois véhicules de transport funéraire au profit du Conseil préfectoral de Meknès et des communes d’Al Maghassiyine et de Charafaa, pour un coût global avoisinant 1.035.000 dirhams, ainsi que l’acquisition d’une ambulance moderne et équipée au profit de la commune de Bouferane, pour un montant de 402.000 dirhams.
The program includes the acquisition of three funeral transport vehicles for the Meknes Prefectural Council and the communes of Al Maghassiyine and Charafaa, at a total cost of approximately 1,035,000 dirhams, as well as the purchase of a modern, fully equipped ambulance for the commune of Bouferane, costing 402,000 dirhams.

La cérémonie s’est déroulée en présence du président du Conseil préfectoral de Meknès, du président de la commune de Meknès, du président de la commune du Mechouar Stinia, ainsi que des responsables des services militaires et sécuritaires, des présidents des communes bénéficiaires et de plusieurs cadres des services déconcentrés de l’État.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the Meknes Prefectural Council, the President of the Meknes Municipality, the President of the Mechouar Stinia Municipality, along with military and security officials, presidents of beneficiary communes, and several representatives of decentralized state services.

Cette initiative s’inscrit dans les efforts déployés par le Conseil préfectoral de Meknès pour renforcer l’offre sanitaire en milieu rural, à travers le renforcement du parc d’ambulances et de véhicules de transport funéraire, contribuant ainsi à réduire la souffrance des patients, améliorer les conditions de leur transport, préserver la dignité des défunts et assurer leur transfert dans des conditions humaines appropriées.
This initiative forms part of the Meknes Prefectural Council’s efforts to strengthen healthcare services in rural areas by expanding the fleet of ambulances and funeral transport vehicles, thereby easing patients’ hardship, improving transport conditions, preserving the dignity of the deceased, and ensuring humane transfer conditions.

Dans ce cadre, le Conseil préfectoral de Meknès poursuit la mise en œuvre d’un programme d’investissement pluriannuel. En 2024, il avait déjà acquis two ambulances for the benefit of the communes of Nzala Beni Amar and Al Mahaya, for a total cost of 700,000 dirhams. Under the 2026 roadmap, additional ambulances are expected to be purchased for the Civil Protection services in Meknes at an estimated cost of one million dirhams, along with two ambulances for the communes of Dkhissa and Sidi Slimane Moul El Kifane, with a total budget of 720,000 dirhams.
As part of this framework, the Meknes Prefectural Council continues implementing a multi-year investment program. In 2024, it had already acquired two ambulances for the communes of Nzala Beni Amar and Al Mahaya, at a total cost of 700,000 dirhams. Under the 2026 vision, additional ambulances are expected to be procured for Civil Protection services in Meknes at an estimated cost of one million dirhams, along with two ambulances for the communes of Dkhissa and Sidi Slimane Moul El Kifane, with a combined cost of 720,000 dirhams.

Parallèlement, le Conseil préfectoral de Meknès accorde une importance particulière au transport scolaire, considéré comme un levier essentiel pour lutter contre l’abandon scolaire et améliorer les conditions de scolarisation en milieu rural. À cet effet, le conseil had acquired three school buses in 2022 for the communes of Aït Oualal and Dar Oum Sultan, at a total cost of approximately 930,000 dirhams, followed in 2023 by the acquisition of eight buses costing 2,750,000 dirhams for several communes.
At the same time, the Meknes Prefectural Council places particular emphasis on school transport as a key lever to combat school dropout and improve schooling conditions in rural areas. In this context, the council acquired three school buses in 2022 for the communes of Aït Oualal and Dar Oum Sultan, at a total cost of about 930,000 dirhams, followed in 2023 by the acquisition of eight buses costing 2,750,000 dirhams for several communes.

En 2024, deux autobus scolaires ont été acquis au profit des communes de Dkhissa et Sidi Abdellah El Khiat, pour un coût total de 767.000 dirhams. En 2025, le conseil a annoncé un marché portant sur l’acquisition de six autobus scolaires pour un montant de 2.376.000 dirhams, au bénéfice des communes de Charafaa, Aïn Karma Oued Rmène, Oued Jdida, Nzala Beni Amar, Aït Oualal et Volubilis.

Au titre du budget 2026, le Conseil préfectoral de Meknès a programmé une enveloppe financière de 2.187.000 dirhams pour l’acquisition de cinq nouveaux autobus scolaires au profit de cinq communes qui seront déterminées ultérieurement, en coordination avec l’Initiative Nationale pour le Développement Humain.
Under the 2026 budget, the Meknes Prefectural Council has earmarked 2,187,000 dirhams for the acquisition of five new school buses for five communes to be determined later, in coordination with the National Initiative for Human Development.
