Police services in the cities of Agadir and Meknes, acting on precise intelligence provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, carried out two separate security operations on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, January 21 and 22. The operations targeted the fight against illicit drug trafficking and psychotropic substances, particularly the distribution of illicit pharmaceutical tablets.
Les services de police des villes d’Agadir et de Meknès, sur la base de renseignements précis fournis par la Direction Générale de la Surveillance du Territoire, ont mené deux opérations sécuritaires distinctes mercredi soir et jeudi matin, les 21 et 22 janvier. Ces interventions visaient la lutte contre le trafic illicite de stupéfiants et de substances psychotropes, notamment la distribution de comprimés pharmaceutiques illicites.
The first operation, carried out on the outskirts of Agadir in coordination with the Royal Gendarmerie, led to the arrest of an individual caught in the act of possessing and trafficking drugs while riding a motorcycle. A search resulted in the seizure of 4,800 psychotropic pharmaceutical tablets of the “Rivotril” type in his possession.
La première opération, menée aux environs d’Agadir en coordination avec la Gendarmerie Royale, a conduit à l’interpellation d’un individu pris en flagrant délit de détention et de trafic de stupéfiants à bord d’une moto. La fouille a permis la saisie de 4 800 comprimés psychotropes de type « Rivotril » en sa possession.
The second operation was conducted in the urban area of Wislane on the outskirts of Meknes. It resulted in the arrest of a suspect traveling in a light vehicle, caught in the act of possessing and smuggling 3,947 psychotropic pharmaceutical tablets of the “Rivotril” and “Ecstasy” types, in addition to the seizure of a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from drug and psychotropic substance trafficking.
La seconde opération a été menée dans la zone urbaine de Wislane, aux environs de Meknès. Elle s’est soldée par l’interpellation d’un suspect à bord d’un véhicule léger, pris en flagrant délit de détention et de trafic de 3 947 comprimés psychotropes de types « Rivotril » et « Ecstasy », ainsi que par la saisie d’une somme d’argent soupçonnée de provenir des revenus du trafic de stupéfiants et de substances psychotropes.
Both suspects were placed under judicial investigation measures under the supervision of the territorially competent Public Prosecutors’ Offices, in order to uncover all the circumstances and details surrounding these two cases and to identify any further potential extensions of these criminal activities.
Les deux suspects ont été soumis aux mesures de l’enquête judiciaire sous la supervision des parquets territorialement compétents, afin d’élucider l’ensemble des circonstances et des tenants de ces deux affaires et d’identifier les éventuelles ramifications de ces activités criminelles.
