L’équipe nationale marocaine de football a réalisé un nouvel exploit historique en se hissant à la 8ᵉ place mondiale du classement mensuel publié par la FIFA, soit le meilleur classement jamais atteint par le Maroc depuis l’instauration du classement FIFA des sélections nationales en décembre 1992.
Morocco’s national football team achieved a new historic milestone by climbing to 8th place worldwide in the monthly ranking released by FIFA, marking the best position ever reached since FIFA introduced its national team rankings in December 1992.
Selon le classement actualisé publié le lundi 19 janvier 2026, le Maroc totalise 1,736.57 points, contre 1,716.34 points lors du précédent classement où il occupait la 11ᵉ place mondiale, soit une progression de 20.23 points qui lui permet d’intégrer pour la première fois le Top 10 mondial.
According to the updated ranking released on Monday, January 19, 2026, Morocco reached a total of 1,736.57 points, up from 1,716.34 points in the previous ranking where it stood 11th globally—an increase of 20.23 points that enabled the team to enter the world’s Top 10 for the first time in its history.
Sur le plan continental, la sélection marocaine conserve sa position de leader africain, devançant plusieurs grandes nations du football africain, dont le Sénégal (12ᵉ mondial), le Nigeria (26ᵉ), l’Algérie (28ᵉ), l’Égypte (31ᵉ) et la Côte d’Ivoire (37ᵉ), confirmant la stabilité technique et les résultats positifs enregistrés par les Lions de l’Atlas.
At the continental level, Morocco maintained its position as Africa’s top-ranked team, ahead of major football nations such as Senegal (12th globally), Nigeria (26th), Algeria (28th), Egypt (31st), and Côte d’Ivoire (37th), confirming the team’s technical consistency and strong recent results.
Au niveau arabe, le Maroc consolide également sa place de leader parmi les sélections arabes, devant l’Algérie, l’Égypte, la Tunisie (47ᵉ mondiale) et le Qatar (56ᵉ), s’imposant ainsi comme une référence régionale et continentale.
