At the level of Moulay Yacoub Province, a financial envelope of approximately MAD 44.70 million has been allocated for the implementation of 190 projects over 2024 and 2025, as part of the third phase of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).
This was disclosed during the proceedings of the third ordinary session of the Provincial Committee for Human Development for 2025, chaired by Mohammed Samir El Khamlichi. The data presented indicate that the INDH’s contribution to financing these projects amounts to about MAD 43.78 million, with a total of 39,532 beneficiaries expected to benefit from the services provided.
According to the presentation delivered by Ahmed El Megrini, Head of the Social Action Division at the Provincial Authority, 104 projects have been completed to date, 78 projects are currently under implementation, while 8 projects are at the tender announcement stage.
As per the same source, the programmed projects are distributed as follows: 20 projects aimed at addressing deficits in infrastructure and basic services in the least-equipped areas; 39 projects under the program supporting people in vulnerable situations; 96 projects within the framework of improving income and economic integration for youth; and 35 projects under the program promoting human capital development for future generations.
During the meeting, approval was also granted to the 2026 action plan for early childhood education support, which includes the establishment of four preschool units in the Ain Chkef commune, with a total cost of approximately MAD 1.08 million, benefiting 185 children.
In a speech delivered on the occasion, the Governor of the Province emphasized that the meeting falls within the ongoing efforts to implement the programs of the National Initiative for Human Development in Moulay Yacoub Province, in line with the Royal Vision that has made this initiative a key lever for consolidating social and territorial equity.
He added that the period 2019–2025 witnessed the programming of 646 projects and initiatives with a total cost of approximately MAD 246.8 million, distributed across the four programs of the third phase of the INDH. He highlighted their contribution to improving maternal and child health, generalizing preschool education, supporting schooling in rural areas, encouraging income-generating initiatives, and strengthening the economic and social integration of target groups.
The meeting also included a presentation of the main guidelines for implementing the framework agreement aimed at strengthening services that support schooling in rural areas, based on integrated planning, governance, targeted beneficiaries, and the mobilization of financing mechanisms. In addition, approval was given to the cancellation of a number of projects and initiatives programmed during 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, for various reasons.
