Meknes – Exclusive
The seventh conference of the Moroccan Association for Applied Mathematics concluded on Wednesday evening, December 3, 2025. Hosted by Moulay Ismail University in Meknes over three days (December 1-3), the conference saw broad participation exceeding 250 researchers from Moroccan universities and prestigious international institutions.
The opening session witnessed the presence of prominent scientific figures, during which welcoming speeches were delivered by Mr. Boubakar Bouayad, President of Moulay Ismail University; Mr. Tawfik Fachtali, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences in Meknes; Mr. Mohamed Rhoudaf, President of the Moroccan Association for Applied Mathematics; Mr. Samir Adly, President of the French Society for Applied and Industrial Mathematics (SMAI); alongside Mr. Rachid Lghrissi, coordinator of the organizing committee.
The conference featured 209 oral presentations distributed across parallel sessions, alongside 11 keynote lectures delivered by distinguished professors and researchers at both national and international levels, making it an exceptional scientific platform for exchanging the latest research findings in the fields of applied mathematics and mathematical modeling.
Renewal of Association Structures
On Tuesday, December 2, the association’s ordinary general assembly was held, where:
- The literary and financial reports were presented and unanimously approved.
- An amendment to the bylaws was approved stipulating the inclusion of former association presidents as advisory members who attend meetings and deliberations without voting rights.
- Half of the administrative council members were renewed.
The new administrative council consists of 33 members: Abarqi Ahmed, Aboulhanoun Younes, Al-Achhab Mohamed Larbi, Adam Mohamed, Ait Hammou Mustapha, Azroul Lahcen, El Ayadi Rachid, Bouzalmat Arij, Dikki Ghizlane, El-Gherdaf Jalila, El-Hajji Badr, El-Hajjaji Abdelmadjid, El-Khalifi Meriem, El-Omari Mohamed, El-Ousmani Mustapha, Hachimi Hanaa, Hafidi Imad, Hammouri Hajj, Hattaf Khalid, Hilal Khaled, Ikbida Jawad, Khalloq Samir, El Masaoudi Mohamed, Medghri Ibtissam, Nachaui Murad, Nefiri Salim, Ouakkas Noureddine, Ouertassi Bajil, Reghai Said, Rhoudaf Mohamed, Sidi Ammi Rachid, Taghlilit Abdelaziz, Yousfi Ahmed.
The former presidents hold advisory status and are: Abdellah Lachiri, Hassan El-Omari, Khalid Najib.
The new administrative council will hold its first meeting in the coming days at the invitation of conference president Mr. Mohamed Rhoudaf to elect the new national bureau.
Participating opinions unanimously agreed on the remarkable success of this edition, both in terms of meticulous organization and the high scientific level of the presentations and lectures, which reinforces the position of the Moroccan Association for Applied Mathematics as one of the leading scientific entities at both national and international levels.
