Fez – The Regional Tourism Council of the Fez-Meknes region announced on Sunday, November 17, 2025, the organization of a major international golf event during the period from November 17 to 21, with the participation of professional and amateur players from Morocco, Spain, France, and other countries.
Ahmed Sentissi, President of the Regional Tourism Council, confirmed during a tourism meeting hosted in Fez with the presence of local and international professionals, that this international event aims to:
- Strengthen the position of the Fez-Meknes region as a prestigious global tourist destination
- Market the historical, cultural, and natural heritage of the region to international markets
- Utilize golf as a strong economic lever to attract tourists with high purchasing power
Sentissi said: “Golf has become today a fundamental lever for the national tourism economy, and the region possesses all the qualifications to be a strong competitor to the most prominent global destinations in this field, especially with the prominence that will be provided by the presence of world stars in this event.”
