The Spanish city of Barcelona is expected to host on Saturday, December 6, 2025, the International Meeting of Moroccans Residing Abroad, under the theme: “The Position of Moroccans of the World in the Transforming European Space and the Stakes of Strategic Partnership: The Case of Moroccan-Spanish Relations.”
This conference, organized by a group of associations and civil institutions active in the fields of migration and cultural communication, aims to exchange views and ideas about the challenges and opportunities facing Moroccans of the world within the European space amid the rapid transformations the region is experiencing, particularly at the economic, political, and social levels.
The meeting also provides an opportunity to discuss the dimensions of the strategic partnership between Morocco and Spain, and to examine ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in service of the interests of the Moroccan community residing in Europe, with a focus on the Moroccan-Spanish model as a successful partnership in managing migration and joint development issues.
This initiative is considered an opportunity for dialogue and collective reflection among researchers, civil society actors, and representatives of Moroccan communities in Europe, in order to develop practical proposals that contribute to strengthening the presence of Moroccans of the world in the European landscape.
