BAHALIL (Sefrou Province) – A gruesome murder has shattered the calm in the town of Bahalil, in the Sefrou province, on Monday. The body of a man in his forties was discovered, drenched in blood and with his throat slashed by a sharp object.
According to local sources, elements of the Royal Gendarmerie in Bahalil were immediately notified of the body’s discovery inside the marital home in the Rkiba neighborhood. They rushed to the crime scene to conduct an initial inspection and oversee the transfer of the body to the forensic medicine department to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the death.
The sources confirmed that the victim, a member of the Moroccan diaspora living in France, was known for his regular visits to his hometown of Sefrou, where his small family, consisting of his wife and four children, resides.
In a dramatic development, preliminary investigations conducted by the Royal Gendarmerie revealed strong suspicions surrounding the victim’s wife, aged 30. Consequently, she was immediately arrested on suspicion of her direct involvement in her husband’s murder.
In a startling detail, the same sources added that the suspect was transferred to Mohammed V Hospital in Sefrou to receive necessary medical treatment after suffering a sudden health emergency following the commission of the crime.
