In a significant development in the case of illegal immigration, an investigation by the Fnideq Royal Gendarmerie has uncovered a network inciting clandestine migration operating through the “WhatsApp” platform in the Sidi Allal El Bahraoui area. Security services successfully dismantled an online cell targeting the recruitment of Moroccan youth.
According to information obtained by “Al-Sabah,” a patrol from the Fnideq Royal Gendarmerie moved to the city of Sidi Allal El Bahraoui earlier this week. The operation was based on precise intelligence provided by the Central Judicial Research Service, in coordination with the Central Service for Intelligence and Documentation of the Royal Gendarmerie in Rabat.
The security operation was conducted through meticulous coordination between a special unit of the Fnideq Royal Gendarmerie and elements of the local brigade in Sidi Allal El Bahraoui. Authorities questioned several individuals who had exchanged phone calls with the main suspect, who is believed to have created a communication group on the “WhatsApp” platform. The group was used to attract youth from various Moroccan cities and incite them to organize mass illegal immigration departures from the coasts of Fnideq.
In a shocking turn, judicial investigations, supervised by the competent prosecutor’s office in Tetouan, revealed the involvement of a minor from one of the villages in Sidi Allal El Bahraoui. The minor is suspected of participating in inciting illegal immigration.
While awaiting the appearance of the suspects before the competent court in Tetouan, investigations are ongoing by the judicial police of the Fnideq Gendarmerie. The aim is to identify all other involved parties and bring them to justice, as part of the ongoing efforts to combat the phenomenon of illegal immigration, which poses a danger to the lives of young people and the security of the region.
