Closing Ceremony Marks the End of the 7th International Ifrane Festival with Outstanding Artistic and Public Participation

On the evening of Saturday, the curtain fell on the activities of the 7th edition of the International Ifrane Festival, organized over four days by the Ifrane Forum for Culture and Development Association, in partnership with the Ifrane Province, the Ifrane Regional Council, the Ifrane Municipality, and the Fes-Meknes Regional Council.

The festival’s closing night was distinguished by a variety of artistic performances, most notably by the Amazigh folk artists Lahcen Achiban and Lahcen Lakhnifri, who delighted the audience with a diverse repertoire reflecting authentic Amazigh heritage. The globally renowned band “Magic System” also thrilled attendees with lively musical performances, alongside rap star “Morphine,” whose energetic show deeply engaged the audience, adding special vitality to the closing evening.

In a statement to the Maghreb Arab Press Agency (MAP), the festival’s artistic director, Nabil Al-Jayy, confirmed that this year’s edition recorded a record turnout, witnessing wide attendance from the residents of Ifrane city as well as Moroccan and foreign visitors. He noted that the diverse program and line-up of participants received great interest and warm reception.

Amazigh folk artist Lahcen Lakhnifri hailed the festival’s excellent organization and the enthusiastic and positive interaction of the audience with the songs and performances during the event, expressing his happiness to participate in this important cultural gathering.

Festival attendee Amin El-Khulani expressed great admiration for the remarkable success of this year’s edition, pointing to the high influx of visitors from across the Kingdom. He also viewed the festival as a valuable opportunity to discover the natural and touristic attractions abundant in the city of Ifrane and the Fes-Meknes region.

Alongside the musical concerts, the festival’s program included a series of cultural, environmental, and artistic activities, featuring artistic carnivals for children and a study day discussing the theme of “Water Economy.” These events contributed to raising awareness about Ifrane’s cultural and artistic heritage, environmental conservation, particularly the cedar tree, and the importance of water preservation.

This edition also featured various artistic and sporting activities, as well as visits to prominent tourist sites within the region, providing visitors with greater opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty and unique characteristics of the area.

This 7th edition of the International Ifrane Festival reaffirms its status as one of the prominent cultural and artistic events contributing to the development of cultural tourism and promoting local heritage and environmental preservation.
