By Royal Decree: Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity Launches 13 New Centers Across Multiple Cities

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, President of the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, has given his royal instructions to put into service 13 newly established centers by the Foundation in the fields of health, disability, and vocational training, making them available to underprivileged populations.

According to an official statement by the Foundation, these centers, completed and equipped in eight provinces and prefectures across the Kingdom, are part of major intervention programs aimed at enhancing access to nearby healthcare, improving care for persons with disabilities, and supporting youth vocational training and socio-professional integration.

These achievements fall under three main programs: the Proximity Medical Centers of the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, the National Mohammed VI Center for Persons with Disabilities network, and the National Program to Combat Addiction Behaviors.

Among these, a new proximity medical center in Salé will begin operations with a total investment of approximately 85.5 million Moroccan dirhams, raising the number of operational units nationwide to six out of twelve planned.

In the disability sector, a new regional branch of the National Mohammed VI Center for Persons with Disabilities will open in Beni Mellal with an investment of 30 million dirhams, bringing the total number of centers in the network to nine across the Kingdom.

The city of Larache will benefit from a new dialysis center costing 10 million dirhams, complementing the services of the nearby Mohammed VI Hospital and improving care for kidney failure patients.

The addiction prevention program continues with the inauguration of three new centers in Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, and Beni Mellal, with a combined investment of around 18 million dirhams, increasing the total number of addiction centers to 18 across 15 cities nationwide.

Regarding vocational training, six new centers will open, targeting promising sectors aligned with labor market needs. These include centers for metal welding in Tit Mellil (94 million dirhams), agricultural professions in Souk El Arbaa (34 million dirhams), electrical and electronic trades in Sidi Othmane, Casablanca (32.5 million dirhams), tertiary professions in Louazis, Casablanca (25 million dirhams), tourism in Chefchaouen (15.2 million dirhams), and traditional crafts in Chefchaouen (9.4 million dirhams).

These institutions aim to equip youth from disadvantaged backgrounds with tangible skills in fields with strong employability prospects.

Finally, a socio-educational center will open in Izenmorn (3.5 million dirhams), marking the first facility of its kind in this commune of Al Hoceima province, dedicated to supporting youth in education and early professional guidance.

The management of these centers will be ensured through partnerships with various Foundation collaborators, including the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the State Secretariat in charge of Traditional Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, the Vocational Training and Employment Promotion Office, as well as specialized associations.

With the launch of these new facilities, the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity reaffirms its commitment to improving access to healthcare, training, and support for vulnerable populations by placing the principles of proximity and solidarity at the heart of its mission.
