The Palestinian News Agency reported, citing medical sources in the Gaza Strip, that 26 people have been killed and others injured by Israeli army fire since early Saturday in the besieged territory, including 11 individuals who were waiting for humanitarian aid.
The agency added that the death toll in Gaza has risen to 55,908, the majority of whom are children and women, since the war on Gaza began in October 2023. The number of injured has also increased to 131,138, while many victims remain trapped under the rubble, with rescue and civil defense teams unable to reach them due to difficult field conditions.
These figures highlight the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe faced by Gaza’s population amid ongoing military operations and the imposed blockade.
