The National Judicial Police Brigade has initiated simultaneous arrests of four individuals following security investigations that confirmed their suspected involvement with the criminal network led by Hicham Girando. This network is known for defamation, slander, insults, extortion, and spreading false information aimed at damaging the reputation of individuals and institutions.
According to informed sources, the National Office for Combating Cybercrime, a branch of the National Judicial Police Brigade, placed the four suspects under judicial custody as part of the ongoing investigation ordered by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Details of the case reveal that the detainees were involved in providing Hicham Girando with fabricated claims and false information, which were exploited to orchestrate defamation campaigns targeting public officials and other individuals. These actions appear to be motivated primarily by personal revenge and malicious accusations.
This arrest is part of a broader security operation aimed at dismantling Girando’s network, which he reportedly runs from Canada. The network has been implicated in extortion and reputation-damaging activities through fake online pages, employing advanced techniques to spread false news and manipulate images and videos.
Investigations also uncovered the involvement of Girando’s family members, including his sister, her husband, and his children, along with other accomplices. They are suspected of providing logistical support, phone numbers, and creating digital content used in defamation and extortion campaigns.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office affirmed its commitment to pursuing all individuals involved in this network as part of ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime and protect citizens from digital violations that increasingly threaten public security and privacy.
In response to certain claims circulated by some parties regarding the case, the Prosecutor’s Office emphasized that legal procedures were initiated based on official complaints, and that all detainees are subject to judicial investigation in accordance with the law, with full guarantees for their rights and defense.
